Nursing (LPN)

Inlet Grove Community High School students may become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon graduation. Our students not only receive classroom instruction, but also have the opportunity to demonstrate a mastery of skills in a comprehensive nursing laboratory. In addition, students practice direct patient care in hospital and community settings under the guidance of professional clinicians. Experience: R.N.: Medical centers: Medical & Surgical units, Neuro ICU, PACU, ER, & Acute Care units; in-service educator, management (clinical manager) and administrative positions (assistant director of nursing); school nurse Miami-Dade County schools
Teaching experience: adult CNA, adult PN; affiliated with IGCHS for 15 years as an instructor in the Medical Academy

Naywona Burnett-Graham, MSN, RN

Ms. Graham is currently the Medical Academy Director and has been a Medical Instructor at Inlet Grove High School for four years now. Nurse Graham attended Grambling State University and Chicago State University for her BSN and Chamberlain College of Nursing for her MSN. She has 20 plus years of experience in various nursing subspecialties. Her motto is “Empower, Motivate, Educate.” She thrives on providing her students with the opportunity of an excellent academic experience with a focus in medicine. And is truly rewarded by the academic and life successes of the students she serves. Clubs/organizations: Sponsor of First Priority (Students for Christ Campus Organization), First Priority Gospel Choir and Inspire Girls to Women.
